The SILTEATER only has a 9 square metre footprint, but it is as effective as a 120m² lagoon or 10 conventional settlement tanks.

Effective particulate settlement is dependant on the amount of available surface area and not water volume. SILTEATER has a large internal surface created by angled, lamella plates housed in the clarifying section, allowing high capacity solids separation and consequently, cleaner recycled water.

SILTEATER:

• has the largest internal surface area of any recycling system currently available in the wheel washing market, rendering it capable of coping with busy sites
• will not run out of water or overflow due to low outlet and double overflow pipework
• minimises the re-circulation of floating material due to additional filtration points
• effectively collects high volumes of silt in large hoppers
• allows for effective silt removal from steep-sided conical hoppers fitted with lever-operated knife valves 
• can save over £6,000 annually on silt removal and disposal costs
• is surface-mounted, requiring only a flat, level concrete base
• can be re-located using the conveniently located llifting lugs
• has no moving parts, so will never break down
• has none of the health and safety issues often associated with lagoons
• is also available with an automatic hopper discharge system, requiring no operator involvement.

The SILTEATER waste water clarifier significantly out-performs settlement tanks by removing significantly finer particles from water.  In particularly challenging locations where there is a high proportion of even finer particles, the SILTEATER can remove them with the aid of flocculant treatment (manual or automatic dosing options available).
